The first link was blocked on my school computer, but the Manifesto's argument makes sense - especially when it comes to the unit circle. As Michael Hartl says, "from the perspective of a beginner, using π instead of τ is a pedagogical disaster." I also enjoyed the arguments for using tau - the specific Greek letter - to represent C/r.
I fully support a complete transfer over to Tau! Love the way ViHart even re-works Euler's identity (e^πi=-1) in terms of tau. So much win!
